What Is This Business?
Could be moss, could be an aerial view, could be I'm not saying till it's finished. What I will say is that it will be part of an installation using hoops of different sizes, and this one is 3" across, 1 out of 20 pieces.
I do love the way it looks.
Oops! I forgot to add, the light green floss is silk that I spun and dyed.
Oh my god, that's a lot of damn french knots!!
ReplyDeleteI love it!

ReplyDeleteGawd that's gorgeous...it reminds me of your rockpol pictures..MORE!! X:)
ReplyDeleteYou guys are awesome, I really look froward to your responses. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHey Penny, this work is indeed the business, I love it. I'm wondering if you got RSI from all the knots, I know that when I'm in a crochet frenzy RSI is a curse on my once nimble hands.
ReplyDeleteAlso thanks for visiting me at apronsandhammers, I'm guessing I have Dude Craft to be grateful to for the link, and to top it all off I'm in awe of the Manbroiderer, much kudos! The world gets a little smaller day by day...
Hey Emma! Yeah, my hands are pretty much shot from printmaking gouges and knitting. On top of that, I have dysgraphia from a childhood illness, so that doesn't help either. I've found that holding the hoop strains my hands worse than the actual embroidering. Do you have any tricks for relief?
ReplyDeleteAlso, I found apronsandhammers through my husband's Manbroidery blog. Man, am I glad I did! Your work is awesome! I love your banner too, it makes me miss my printmaking tools!
