Sorry Campers

This has been a slow bloggy month due to Papa's (Johnny Murder) back surgery, but I promise I've got some treats going up soon including a couple of free patterns!
Thanks to everyone who sent sweet thoughts and kind words our way, it worked, and John's recovering nicely! He should be home by Wednesday. Please head over to MANBROIDERY and leave him a sweet feel better comment, it would really make his day!

Also, Providence Hospital in Portland is AWESOME. Full menu room service till midnight, free parking, friendly and accessible staff, cable TV, patient led pain management, and they put a bed in the room for me! John's never gonna want to come home!

Habu? It seems I hardly knew you.

(To really understand this post, you might want to read my previous review here.)

I saw you out the other day, and after polite chit chat you whispered in my ear, "I've changed. I thought about what you said, how I was too fragile, and I want you to know I'm stronger now, I've grown a thicker skin."

I was skeptical. You'd burned me before, Habu Textile 100% stainless steel thread. You seduced me and couldn't keep your promises. I looked you up and down slyly, hoping you wouldn't catch my sideways glance. Could it be true? 100% stainless steel thread wrapped snugly in wool or silk? And the colors you came in! I pushed away the nagging thought that this would certainly end in tears and brought you home, wool stainless steel in "forest" and silk stainless steel in white.

You really needed to prove yourself to me, so I took you to task and strung you onto my loom to create a three yard warp. You only protested/broke once or twice, but we worked it out quite easily and after that I tried to be a little more gentle. I was sure you'd snap the second I moved the heddle, but you stayed strong. In the end, we were both pleased with your preformance, and we created a lovely wrap together with our old pal blue faced leicester. I hope to see you again, old friend.
